Day 166
I saw this as I entered this weekend's restaurant of choice and was reminded to be more zen-like. I'm not sure it's working, but I'm trying!

Day 165
I'm going to see a movie tonight! It's been 165 days since I have been out to see a movie, one of my favorite past times, in an actual theater. I am so excited to go! I love movies and the theater culture. I love the smell of the buttery popcorn welcoming me into the lobby and the overly loud surround sound booming from the theater. While I know this experience will be different with the inclusion of masks, limited and spaced out seating I am grateful to just GO! Woo whooooo!

Day 159
I got up early this morning to run. I ran the farthest I ever have at one time (5+ miles). It was drizzling yet a peaceful run in the north woods. I was in the "zone" and felt like I could run forever. I ran among the cherry trees, up and down rolling hills and a passed a fellow jogger who enthusiastically greeted me. "She gets it", I thought to myself. We wished each other a great run and a great day. People who get up early to run want to be out there. We share a connection. No one makes us go but ourselves. And we like it. I would assume we all run to clear our minds and to carve out that "me" time for ourselves. It's our therapy, not just exercise.
Towards the end of my run I paused to snap the picture below. It isn't the best quality, but it's moments like this that affirm why I get up early, why I go run. It's about being out in nature, on my own time and no one else's schedule. It's about doing what I want, all for me. It's about not having a thought in my head and loving it. It's just me and the pavement and moments like this...

Day 156
Being burned out means feeling empty and mentally exhausted, devoid of motivation, and beyond caring. People experiencing burnout often don't see any hope of positive change in their situations. If excessive stress feels like you're drowning in responsibilities, burnout is a sense of being all dried up.

Day 155
Per "The Fact Site" Here are some Tuesday fun facts...
Christmas eve is least likely to fall on a Tuesday.
Although interestingly enough, it is the day of the week that has the second-highest chance of having a Christmas on it, with the first being Thursday.
The Greeks consider Tuesday to be an unlucky day as this was the day that Constantinople Fell.
Likewise, Spanish speaking parts of the world also find Tuesday to be an unlucky day.
For both Greek and Spanish speaking people alike, the 13th day of a month is considered unlucky if it falls on a Tuesday, rather than a Friday.
Tuesday the 29th of October 1929 is one of the world’s most infamous Tuesdays, known as Black Tuesday. This is the day of the Great Stock Market Crash, the event which catalyzed the Great Depression in the run-up to World War II.
Super Tuesday is the day on which many U.S. states choose to hold their Presidential primary elections.
Tuesdays are the busiest day for new job applications to be filled out!

Day 152
Be stubborn about your goals and flexible about your methods. What do you do when you feel like those around you sabotage your every move? You don't give up due to derailments. You keep pushing through and know tomorrow is a new day, that's what!

Day 148
Do you ever find yourself perfectly happy, and then all the sudden the "I shoulds" start in? You know, the "I should be doing more" or the "I should be doing something different"? So then you start changing things around to fit in all the things you "should" be doing, only to realize it makes you miserable? If you've fallen victim to this, as I recently have, I give you full permission to dump those scheduled "shoulds" and do what it is that makes you happy! Yes, this is your Tuesday reminder to KISS - keep it simple and sweet! (You thought I was going to say stupid, didn't ya?)

Day 145
I am grateful for those in my circle who help to inspire me by just being themselves. They don't have to cheer me on, they don't have to reach out and pat me on the back. They simply elevate me (and others I presume) by just working on bettering themselves and being a good example. They don't brag. They aren't competing with you. They just "are".
I hope you are surrounded by people who inspire you and move you to be a better version of you than you were yesterday. I hope you have people in your life that get you out of bed and excited about the things you should be doing. I hope you have friends and family who lift you up and inspire you. Gravitate towards those who reflect where you want to be and share common goals and go get after yours! The world is big enough for us all to share the limelight.
