Thursdays with Tird

If you're reading this, it must be a Thursday, or what I like to refer to as a Tird's Day. Tird (pronounced turd - yes, like the word for poop) was my cat. My first cat. And my last cat. He saw me through post college life, loss of a parent, loss of friends, and well, even loss of self at times. He was my love, my entertainer, my cuddle-bug. He was my nuisance.

Having shared numerous Tird stories with others over the years, I was repeatedly urged to write about him, or even for him. A book, a blog, some type of Tird-Chronicles I suppose - from his point of view - or even mine for that matter, but it never happened. Sadly, Tird passed away in May of 2013 before I ever compiled any type of Tird writings.

I am just now finding my way past the emptiness to write what would be his most famous antics memoirs, to be shared with you, my readers. My 2014 Thursday posts are dedicated to Tird. Thursdays are Tird's Day, in which I share with you the un-exaggerated stories of the life he shared with me.

Tird's Day posts focus on the unbelievable antics of an adopted cat who's zest for life never wavered. I believe when left unattended, he plotted new ways to top the last round of crazy he provided. Tird was no ordinary cat. He was my cat. And hopefully, through these writings, he will be your cat too.
